John Horsford

M, b. before 3 October 1627, d. 7 August 1683
     John was born in Windsor, Hartford County, Connecticut.1 He was christened there on 3 October 1627 in St. Mary's Church.1,2 He was the son of William Horsford and Florence Hayward. John married Phillippa Thrall on 5 November 1657 in Windsor, Hartford County, Connecticut.2 John and Phillipa had children: William [1658-1688], John [10/16/1660-d.y.], Timothy [1662-1741], Esther [1664], Sarah [1666-1708], Samuel [1669-1746], Nathaniel [1671-1748], Mary/Mercy [1674-1753], John [167_-1698] & Obadiah [1677-1741].3 He took the oath of freeman on 20 May 1658 in Windsor. John and Joseph Stiles, were the master workmen in the building of a house for the first settled minister at Windsor, Timothy Edwards.3 John departed this life on Saturday, 7 August 1683 in Windsor, Hartford County, Connecticut.
