Joshua Holcomb

     Joshua was born on Friday, 7 September 1640 in Poquonock, Hartford County, Connecticut.1 He was the son of Thomas Holcomb and Eliabeth (?) On 27 September 1640, he was christened in Windsor, Hartford County, Connecticut.2 Joshua married Ruth Sherwood on 4 June 1663 in Simsbury, Hartford County, Connecticut.3 Joshua departed this life on Friday, 1 December 1690 in Simsbury, Hartford County, Connecticut.3 The inventory of Joshua's estate was taken on Tuesday, 5 December 1690. Was valued at 247 pounds, 8 shillings. It was taken by his brothers, Benajah & Nathaniel Holcolm and John Higley & Samuel Wilcox. His wife, Ruth, received 35,13.4 pounds; @/3 to his eldest son; 73.4.4 to 2nd son; & each of the others, 35 pounds.
