Jonathan Havens

M, b. 22 February 1681, d. 5 August 1748
     Jonathan was born on Saturday, 22 February 1681 in Newport, Newport County, Rhode Island.1 He was the son of George Havens and Eleanor Thurston. Jonathan married Hannah Brown on 1 January 1706/7.2 Jonathan departed this life on Monday, 5 August 1748 in Shelter Island, New York, at age 67 years, 5 months and 14 days. He was buried there in Presbyterian Church Burying Ground. The inscription on his tombstone reads: In Memory of Jonathan Havens who died 5 Aug 1748 in the 68 year of his life.3
