John Graves
M, b. before 26 December 1626, d. 19 September 1677
John was born in Thundridge, Hertfordshire, England. He was the son of Thomas & Sarah [Scott] Graves.1,2 He was christened there on 26 December 1626. John married Mary Smith, daughter of Lieutenant Samuel Smith and Elizabeth Smythe. John & Mary had children: John [ -12/02/1750][m. 2/12/1678 Sarah White], Mary [m. 1/15/1671 Samuel Ball & 2nd Edward Stebbins], Isaac [ - ca 1740][m. 4/01/1679 Sarah Wyatt & 2nd Abigail], Samuel [ - 3/11/1731][m. Sarah], Sarah [ca 1659-6/12/1700][m. 4/01/1679 Edward Stebbins], Elizabeth [12/09/1662][m. Thomas Jones], Daniel [12/07/1664], Ebenezer [11/20/1666], Bethia [6/17/1668-6/21/1669] & Nathaniel [6/10/1671][m. 4/30/1702 Rebecca Allis].3 John's wife, Mary, died on 16 December 1668 in Wethersfield, Hartford County, Connecticut, leaving him a widower. John married 2nd Mary Bronson on 20 July 1671.3 John departed this life on Sunday, 19 September 1677 in Hatfield, Hampshire County, Massachusetts. He was killed by indians.3
