William was born circa 1400 in Buckinghamshire, England.3 He was the son of Henry le Fowler I and Isabel Barton. William married Cecelia Englesfield, daughter of Sir Nicholas Englesfield and Johanna Clerk, circa 1419 in Thame, Oxfordshire, England, at the Manor of Rycote.4 Cecilia was the co-heiress with her sister Sybill of her father & inherited the Manor of Rycote.5 William departed this life on Tuesday, 6 July 1452 in England.6 He was buried at London, County Middlesex, England, in the chapel of St. Dunstan's of Westminister Abbey.7
