Mary Fowler1,2

     Mary was born in 1668 in Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island. She was the daughter of Henry Fowler III and Rebecca Newell. Mary married Richard Ward before 1683 in Mamaroneck, Westchester County, New York. Richard and Mary had a son John [m. Phebe] and probably others.3,4 Richard was a carpenter. The family resided at Mamaroneck, Westchester County, New York.

Y., daughter of Edward Hancock & Sarah Fowler [widow & 2nd wife of Samuel Godwin, & 6th child of Henry Fowler & Rebecca Newell] who were married prior to 1690. The date is established by the quick claim of that date from Edward hancock to his step son, John Godin [Eastchester Town Records].
