Sarah Feake

Sarah was born in 1729 in the Town of Oyster Bay, Queens County, Long Island, New York. She was the daughter of Robert Feake and Clemence Ludlam. Sarah married Charles Cozzens in Queens County, Long Island, New York. They moved to Boston where they lived at the beginning of the American Revolution. Because Eleanor let her feeling be too well known about their loyality to England so they returned to Long Island. Sarah's husband, Charles, died on 30 January 1779 in Queen Anne's Parish, Prince George County, Maryland, leaving her a widow. Sarah departed this life on Sunday, 14 January 1781 in Queens County, Long Island at age 52 years. She was buried there in the town of Oyster Bay in the Feake section of the Underhill Burying Ground in Locust Valley.
