His will reads in part: to my sonne Robert Dale my house with all the londs and purtenances belonging to the same lyenge and beinge within the parish and towne of Elstd [Elmsted] . . . and the lease of Horwoldes my ferme that I dwell in . . . also the lease of brestall benefice which I bowghte of John Heydych . . . to Johan my wyef five pownds . . . to kyne to be kepte of the ferme of brestall . , a bed one in the hye chamber withal that belongs therto . . . and twenty shillings everye yeree the terme of her lyfe, my sonne Roberte to paye it out of my house at Elmstayd . . . to my eldyste daughter Anne viij pounds and too kyne . . . at the daye of her marriage . . . to my dowghter Margaret viij pounds and a Cowe . . . at the daye of her marriage . . . to my dowghter Elizabeth viij pounds and a cowe . . . at the daye of her marriage . . . to my dawghter Alice viij pounds and a cowe . . . at the daye of her marriage . . . to Agnes my youngest dawghter viij pounds and two kyne . . . at the daye of her marriagr . . . all the reste of my goods to my sonne Roberte Dale . . . whom I make one of my executors and I will William Bonne of Hyngkllsham . . .
