Phebe Curtis1

     Phebe was born on Wednesday, 4 October 1719 in Durham, Middlesex County, Connecticut. She was the daughter of James Curtis and Hannah Coe. Phebe married David Mattoon on 5 October 1741 in Wallingford, New Haven County, Connecticut. Phebe's husband, David, died on 6 April 1775 in Watertown, Litchfield County, Connecticut, leaving her a widow. Phebe departed this life on Saturday, 28 September 1776 in Watertown, Litchfield County, Connecticut.
