Elizabeth Colton

     Elizabeth was born in December 1846 in the Village of Bronte, Trafalgar Township, Halton County, Ontario, Canada. She was the daughter of Thomas Bethel Colton and Eliza Chester. Elizabeth married James Jackson on 3 September 1866 in the Village of Bronte, Trafalgar Township. Jim & Eliza had 14 children: William Thomas [1868] [m. 7/29/1905 Ester Ada Iler] James [3/02/1870->1/03/1931], Joseph Chester [12/24/1871], Daniel Wesley [1/27/1873-12 apr 1918-1919] [m. Agnes Bailey], Anna Margaret [9/06/1877][m. Mr. Hill], John Edward [9/19/1880-3/12/1881], Arthur Paul [6/16/1882], Charles Godfrey [8/14/1884-1911], Eliza Jane [1/08/1887-7/18/1888], Richard Peter [4/04/1889-<6/01/1900], John Alexander [3/04/1891-1/04/1892] and 3 other children. Enumerated in this household were James Jackson [May 1841 - 59 Canada], his wife: Eliza [December 1846 - 53 Canada], & son: Charles [September 1883 - 16 Canada]. They had been married 33 years with 14 children, 6 living. They immigrated in 1896.⁶ Elizabeth departed this life in 1920.
