Ephraim Carpenter1

M, b. 1640, d. before 1703
     Ephraim was born in 1640 in Pawtuxet, Providence County, Rhode Island. He was the son of William Carpenter and Elizabeth Arnold. Ephraim married Susannah Harris circa 1661 in Pawtuxet, Providence County, Rhode Island.2 Ephraim and Susannah had children: Elizabeth [1655-1743], Ephraim [1662-2/221698], Josiah [1678], Susannah [circa 1664-9/06/1753], Timothy [12/19/1665], Phoebe [circa 1667] & Joseph [circa 1669]. Ephraim's wife, Susannah, died circa 1676 in Pawtuxet leaving him a widower. Ephraim married Susannah England on 3 December 1677 in Pawtuxet, Providence County, Rhode Island.2 On the second of May 1687, He purchased land in Fort Neck on the south shore of Long Island.3 Ephraim's wife, Susannah, died circa 1692 in Fort Neck, Queens County, Long Island, New York, leaving him a widower. Ephraim married 3rd Lydia Dickenson before 1 July 1693 in Fort Neck. On this date, he sold his land in Musketa Cove.2 Ephraim departed this life before 1703 in Fort Neck. His son, Josias sold his father's property as executor or administrator of the estate.4
