Abiah Carpenter

     Abiah was born on Thursday, 9 April 1643 in Weymouth, Norfolk County, Massachusetts. He was the son of William Carpenter and Abigail Briant. Abiah did marry, at least by 1659, but to whom, there is no record of even a first name. There is record of two sons, land records involving them is what tells us that Abiah had died prior to 1699. Abiah married Mary Redway before 14 September 1667. On this date, Abiah and his wife were granted guardianship of Mary Baker. Abiah departed this life before 1699 in Pawtuxet, Providence County, Rhode Island.
