Sarah Chapin1

F, b. circa October 1628, d. 5 August 1684
     Sarah was born circa October 1628 in the parish of Berry Palmeroy, Devonshire, England. In October 1628, she was christened in the parish of Berry Palmeroy, Devonshire, England, at St. Mary's Church.2 She was the daughter of Deacon Samuel Chapin and Cecily Penny. On 6 April 1630, her grandfather, Henry Penny, bequeathed her 12d in his will. Sarah married Rowland Thomas on 14 April 1647 in Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts. Sarah departed this life on Saturday, 5 August 1684 in Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts.
