Daniel Burt

     Daniel was born on Wednesday, 8 July 1716 in Ridgefield, Fairfield County, Connecticut. He was the son of Benjamin Burt and Sarah Belden. Daniel married Hanna Benedict circa 1737 in Ridgefield. Daniel and Hannah had children: Daniel, Phoebe, Ruth, Lydia, Ann, Elizabeth, Esther, Hannah, James, Martha & Sarah. Daniel departed this life on Monday, 18 March 1805 in Warwick, Orange County, New York, at age 88 years, 8 months and 10 days. He was buried at Warwick, Orange County, New York, in Warwick Cemetery. The inscription on his tombstone reads: Daniel Burt - - Born July 8, 1716 Died March 18, 1805 an his wife Hannah Benedick Born January 25, 1719 Died January 20, 1810.¹
