Dorcas Burt

     Dorcas was born in 1643 in Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts.1 She was the daughter of Henry Burt and Eulalia March. Dorcas married John Stiles on 28 October 1658 in Springfield. John and Dorcas had children: Sarah [9/12/1661] [m. 5/01/1681 Ephraim Bancroft & 2nd Thomas Phillips], Hannah [3/23/1664-12/08/1704] [m. 1/21/1687 Samuel Bliss], John [12/10/1665-7/__/1763] [m. 2nd 5/07/1713 Mary Osborn], Ephraim [1670-1755] [m. 1694 Abigail Neal] & Thomas [1673] [m. Bethia Hanmer].2 Dorcas's husband, John, died on 8 December 1683 in Windsor, Hartford County, Connecticut, leaving her a widow. On 7 jan 1713, she married second, John Shethar.3
