John de was born in Coddington, Somersetshire, England. He was the son of John de Brent. John fought at Bosworth supporting the loosing side of York. With the assecention of the new king, Henry VII, John was forced to hide from the king's supporters, He took up residence in the part of Glouchester where the three counties: Glouchester, Warwick, and Worchester came together. He did this to avoid execution. He spent the remainder of his days living under the assumed name of John Buston. The family resided at Stoke, Glouchester, England.
