Col. John Yonges
M, b. before 10 April 1623, d. 12 April 1698
John was born in Reydon, County Suffolk, England. He was christened there on 10 April 1623.1 He was the son of Reverand John Yonges and Joan Herrington. John married Mary Gardiner in 1653 in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York.2 John and Mary had children: John, Thomas, Bethea, [m. Mr. Gilbert], Martha [m. Mr. Gardiner] & Deborah [m. Mr. Longworth]. In his will of 1697, placed the Turdor Trevor coat of arms to the will.3 John departed this life on Saturday, 12 April 1698 in the Town of Southold. He was buried there in the Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
