John & Martha had children: Samuel [1756], Sarah [1758], Daniel [1759], James [1761], Ruth [1763], Susannah [1765], Mary [1767], John [1769], Jemina [1671], Martha [1674], Jane [1776], Rebecca [1779]. James refers in his will to son-in-law Zebulon who was his step son. Zebuton [1718][m. 1743 Phebe Valentine [1721 d/o Obadiah & Martha Willets]]. Zebulon's daughter Phebe [1771][m. Samuel Searing [1756 son of John & Martha]. Temperance's husband, James, died before 12 May 1746 in Hempstead Town, leaving her a widow.
