Mary Whittemore

F, d. before 12 December 1778
     Mary married Josiah Beardsley, son of Joseph Beardsley, on 4 November 1712 in Stratford, Fairfield County, Connecticut.1 Josiah and Mary had children: Katherine [3/23/1713], Hannah [2/07/1715 –1805], Josiah [12/31/1716], Samuel [6/30/1719–1790)], Israel [3/13/1721–~1773], Benjamin [7/21/1723-1726], Isaac Judson [10/__/1725], Benjamin [2/28/1728–1802] & Jonathan [8/__1734].2 Mary's husband, Josiah, died before 10 January 1770 in Fairfield, leaving her a widow.3 Mary departed this life in Fairfield. The inventory of Mary's estate was taken on Saturday, 12 December 1778 by Samuel Adams and Peter Curtiss. They appraised the estate to be valued at £29 18s. 11d.4 Her will was probated on 1 February 1779. The inventory was presented to the court by Josiah Beardsley and approved by the court.
