Mary was born in Habblethorpe, Nottinghamshire, England. Mary married John Maltby, son of John Maltbie and Margaret Bishop, on 22 May 1632 in East Retford, Nottinghamshire, England.1 She and John were blessed with 6 children. Mary's husband, John, died before 4 January 1648 in East Retford, Nottinghamshire, England, leaving her a widow.2 Around 1672, she resided at Branford, New Haven County, Connecticut.
