William Vincent

     William was born in Amesbury, Wiltshire, England. He was the son of Thomas Vincent and Fridgswith Carpenter. He was christened there on 17 June 1638 in Amesbury Church. The church record stated his parents to be Nicholas & Frittisweed Vincent. William married Priscilla Carpenter, daughter of William Carpenter and Elizabeth Arnold, on 31 May 1670 in Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island. They were first cousins.¹ William and Pricilla had children: Thomas, Nicholas & William [m. 10/22/1724 Elizabeth Bennett]. William made his will on 21 December 1695 at Pawtuxet, Providence County, Rhode Island. William departed this life in Pawtuxet. His will was probated on 3 March 1696.
