Petronella Underhill
F, b. circa 1598
Petronella was born circa 1598 in either Baginton, Warwickshire, England, or in Bergen Op Zoom, North Brabent, Netherlands. She was the daughter of John Underhill and Honor Pawley. On 16 May 1638, J. de Voocht gave her, Petronella Underhil, a note for 300 guilders and on 17 Sept. 1638, she gave him a receipt for 50 guilders on account. Thus showing she had not as yet gotten married. Petronella married Ulrich Lupold before 6 August 1639 in Holland, Netherlands. On this day, she is noted as wife of Ulrich Lupold.1 Ulrich and Petronella had a son, Ulrich [chr. 8/02/1640].2,3 It is believed that the couple returned to Holland with their family as both of their names disappear from records anywhere in the New World.
