Gilbert Uyt ten Bogaert

M, b. before 8 February 1758
     Gilbert was born in New York City, New York County, New York. He went by the name of Gille. He was christened there on 8 February 1758 in the New Amsterdam Reformed Dutch Church. The witnesses were Johanes Vredenburg & Catharina Palding, widow of Gysbert Uytdenbogert.1 He was the son of Johannes Gysbertszen Uyt ten Bogaert and Maria Vredenburg. Gillie never married. The 1800 U.S. Federal Census enumerates at New York City, New York County, New York, the family of Gilbert Bogart [00010:00001].2 On the 18th of November 1817, his brother-in-law, Augustus Wright, leaves money for him and his mother's maintenance.
