Appalonia Dirckszen Uyt ten Bogaert

Appalonia was born in New York City, New York County, New York. She was christened there on 18 March 1702 in the New Amsterdam Reformed Dutch Church. The witnesses were Thomas Eckes & Appolona Sorts, wife of Jan Eckes.1 She was the daughter of Dirck Gysbertszen Uyt ten Bogaert and Elisabeth Jans Eckerszen. Appalonia Dirckszen married Cornelis Tarp on 21 September 1729 in New York City, New York County, New York, at the New Amsterdam Reformed Dutch Church.2 Cornelius & Appalonia had children: Dirck [chr 29 Apr 1730], Abigail [chr 5 Mar 1735], Daniel [chr 30 Jun 1736], Elisabeth [chr 1 Nov 1738] - dy, Johannes [chr 15 Jun 1740] & Elisabeth [bp 23 Oct 1743].3 The family resided in Woodbridge, New Jersey.
