Abigail Treat

     Abigail was born in April 1660 possibly at Milford, New Haven County, Connecticut. Unfortunately, no substanciating evidence has been found. She was the daughter of Robert Treat and Jane Tapp. Abigail married Reverand Samuel Andrews in 1686 in Milford. Samuel and Abigail had children: Abigail [1/29/1686-9/25/1724] [m. 8/01/1706 Jonathan Law], Samuel [9/00/1688-4/26/1728] [m. 12/09/1719 Eunice Hall], Elizabeth 6/00/1690-9/12/1771] [m. 1710 Timothy Cutler], Jane [1699-2/15/1778] [m. 1729 Andrew Durand], Jonathan [8/24/1701-9/01/1738/39] [m. 1/05/1726/27 Elizabeth Smith] & Hannah [11/17/1704-1754] [m. 1726 John Woodruff].¹ Abigail departed this life on Friday, 5 December 1727 in Milford at age 67 years and 8 months. She was buried there in Milford Cemetery. The inscription on her tombstone reads: Here lyes Buried the body of Mrs Abigail Andrew wife to ye Rev'nd Mr. Samuel Andrew who dec'd Decem'br 5th Anno Domini 1727 in ye 68th year of her age.¹
