Absalom Townsend

     Absalom was born on Friday, 11 November 1746 in the Town of Oyster Bay, Queens County, Long Island, New York. This date was calculated from his age at death. He was the son of Henry Townsend IV and Elizabeth Titus. Absalom departed this life on Wednesday, 4 June 1817 in Rensselaer, Rensselaer County, New York, at age 70 years, 6 months and 24 days. He was buried there in Beverwyck Cemetery.¹
