Josiah Vail1

M, b. circa 1700
     Josiah was born circa 1700 in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. He did not appear on the 1698 census with his parents. He was the son of John Vail and Grace Braddick. Josiah married Patience Corwin on 25 February 1724 in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York.2 Josiah removed in 1728 to Orange County, New York.

    It is very possible that there were other children in this family. The date of Josiah Vail's death is unknown; no record of will has been found at Goshen.
