     Charles was born circa 1765 in the Town of Oyster Bay, Queens County, Long Island, New York. He was the son of Henry Townsend V and Anne Wright. Charles departed this life on Wednesday, 18 September 1799 at Staten Island, Richmond County, New York, of yellow fever.
