     James married Mary Wakelee, daughter of Henry Waklee and Sarah Burt, circa 1670 in Killingworth, Middlesex County, Connecticut. James and Mary had children: Mary [1671], James [1673], Hannah [1675], Sarah 1673], Patience [1681] & Mercy [1682]. In 1695, James went out to sea and was never heard of again. The inventory of James's estate was taken on Thursday, 21 May 1699 by Henry Crane, John Griswold and Robert Lane. The estate was valued at £240 10s. His will was probated on 10 September 1702 at Killingworth, Middlesex County, Connecticut. The widow, Mary, gave oath to the court on this date.
