Timothy Stedman

Timothy was born on Tuesday, 2 May 1719 in Farmington, Hartford County, Connecticut.1 He was the son of John Stedman III and Abigail Andrews. Timothy departed this life on Monday, 14 August 1752 in Southington, Hartford County, Connecticut, at age 33 years, 3 months and 12 days. He was buried there in Oak Hill Cemetery. The inscription on his tombstone reads: Here lyes ye body of Timothy Stedman he died August ye 14th 1752 in ye 34th year of his age.2 The inventory of Timothy's estate was taken on Friday, 22 September 1752 by Samuel Woodruff. One 3 October, he presented the inventory to the probate court showing the total value of the estate to be £285.
