Philip's wife, Joan, died before 28 July 1585 in Erwarton Parish, County Suffolk, England, leaving him a widower. Philip made his will on 22 March 1588.1 Philip departed this life in Erwarton Parish. He was buried at Erwarton Parish, County Suffolk, England, in the churchyard of St. Mary's.2
