Elizabeth Spencer

     Elizabeth was born in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut. She was christened there on 26 March 1648. She was the daughter of Sergeant Thomas Spencer and Sarah Bearding. Elizabeth married Samuel Andrews, son of William Andrews and Abigail Graves, before 14 September 1674 in Hartford at the First Church. They were married at the time of the writing of the will of Samuel's step father, Nathaniel Bearding on this date. Nathaniel is also the grandfather of Elizabeth. Elizabeth's husband, Samuel, died on 5 January 1712 in Hartford leaving her a widow. Elizabeth departed this life in Hartford. She was buried at Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut, in the ancient burying grounds.¹
