Elizabeth was born in Hadleigh, County Suffolk, England. She was christened there on 28 January 1626/27 in St. Mary the Virgin. She was the daughter of Lieutenant Samuel Smith and Elizabeth Smythe. Elizabeth married Nathaniel Foote II, son of Nathaniel Foote and Elizabeth Deming, circa 1647 in Wethersfield, Hartford County, Connecticut.3 Elizabeth's husband, Nathaniel, died in 1655 in Wethersfield, Hartford County, Connecticut, leaving her a widow. Elizabeth married 2nd William Gull circa 1660 in Wethersfield, Hartford County, Connecticut.
