Daniel Smith1

M, b. 6 October 1719, d. 22 August 1799
     Daniel was born on Friday, 6 October 1719 in Ridgefield, Fairfield County, Connecticut. He was the son of Ebenezer Smith & Sarah Collins. Daniel married Betty Whitney, daughter of Henry Whitney and Elizabeth Olmsted, on 25 January 1741/42 in Ridgefield. Daniel and Betty had children: Abigail, Betty, Molly, Daniel, Benajah, Anne, Job, Nehemiah & Sarah. Daniel's wife, Betty, died on 13 October 1798 in Ridgefield leaving him a widower. Daniel departed this life on Thursday, 22 August 1799 in Ridgefield at age 79 years, 10 months and 16 days.
