Sarah Strong1

Sarah was born circa 1657 in Windsor, Hartford County, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Elder John Strong II and Abigail Ford. Sarah married Joseph Banard on 13 December 1675 in Northampton, Hampshire County, Massachusetts.2 Joseph & Sarah had children: John [11/19/1676-3/06/1726][6/13/1702 Mary Marshall & 2nd 10/23/1706 Bridget Cook], Joseph [6/20/1681-7/12/1736][m. 10/04/1705 Abigail Griswold], Samuel [12/01/1684-11/21/1762][m. 5/22/1718 Sarah Williams, 2nd 5/29/1720 Rachel Lindall, 3rd. Elizabeth Williams & 4th 8/01/1756], Hannah [1685-5/16/1727][m. Samuel Childs], Abigail [10/3/1691-3/18/1772][m. Ebenezer Wells], Thankful [1694-10/13/1746][m. Ebenezer Sheldon] & Ebenezer [3/13/1696-7/20/1764] [m. 2/29/1716 Elizabeth Foster].3 Sarah's husband, Joseph, died on 6 September 1695 in Deerfield, leaving her a widow. Sarah married Jonathan Wells on 23 September 1698 in Deerfield.2 Jonathan & Sarah had one son David [1700-]. Sarah departed this life on Tuesday, 10 February 1733 in Deerfield. She was buried there in the Old Burying Ground.4
