John Shute1,2

     John was born in 1671. He was the son of Richard & Sarah Shute. John married Abigail Fowler, daughter of Henry Fowler IV and Abigail Hoyt, circa 1700 in Eastchester, Westchester County, New York. John & Abigail had children: Sarah [m. Joseph Fowler], Mary & John [ -before 2/14/1726]. In 1717, Sarah chose James Morgan to be her guardian.3 The family resided at Eastchester, Westchester County, New York. John departed this life in 1712 in Eastchester at age 41 years. On the 7th of June 1712, his wife Abigail was granted Letters of Administration for his estate.4
