John Sammis [Samwayas]1

M, b. 13 September 1673, d. June 1740
     John was born on Wednesday, 13 September 1673 in Huntington, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. He was the son of John Sammis and Abigail Corey. John married Rebecca (?) in Huntington, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. John & Rebecca's children: - Rebecca [before 4/14/1711], John III [ca. 1706].- Mary [ca. 1710], Timothy [ca. 1712], Jonathan [ca. 1715], Sylvanus [ca. 1717] & probably others. John departed this life in June 1740 in Huntington at age 66 years and 8 months.
