     Mary was born before 12 August 1613 in Hundon, County Suffolk, England. She was christened there on 12 August 1613 in St. Peter and St Paul. She was the daughter of John Rowning. Mary married Simon Ray II, son of Simon Ray I and Sarah Pilgrim, in 1635 in Wratting Parva, County Suffolk, England.3 Simon and Mary and their two children immigrated to New England in 1640. They settled at Braintree. Mary's husband, Simon, died on 30 September 1641 in Braintree, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, leaving her a widow.4 Mary married 2nd Peter George circa 1642 in Braintree, Norfolk County, Massachusetts. Mary's husband, Peter, died before 24 February 1694 in Block Island, leaving her a widow. Mary made her will on 5 August 1694 at Block Island, Washington County, Rhode Island.

Executors: son Simon Ray and grandson Simon Ray Jr. and friend Joshua Raymond. To friend Joshua Raymond and his wife £5. To granddaughter Mary Dodge, daughter of William £5. To daughter Susannah Cent, wife of Joseph £5. To daughter Mary Ball, wife of Edward £5. To Sybill Ball and Elizabeth Ball, each £5. Rest of estate to grandson Simon Ray Jr.5


Her will was probated on 9 October 1694. Mary departed this life in Block Island.
