Francois Rivard dit Lacoursiere

M, b. circa 27 September 1659, d. circa 14 September 1726
     Francois was born in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada. He was christened there on 27 September 1659 in the Cathedral de l'Assomption.1 He was the son of Nicolas Rivard dit Lavigne and Catherine St-Pere. Francois married Marie-Madeleine Pele on 18 February 1697 in Batiscan, Les Chenaux County, Quebec, Canada, at St-Francois-Xavier Church.2 Francoise & Madeleine had children: Joseph [12/11/1697-6/30/1699], Jean-Francois [2/08/1700], Joseh [8/11/1702-9/04/1754][m.. 11/10/1726 Josephte Desranleau], Marie-Madeleine [9/09/1704-11/03/1789][m. 9/10/1727 Jran-Ba[tiste Desranleau], Robert [5/03/1707-1/03/1713], Pierre [11/13/1709-4/09/1749][m. 1/09/1730 Marie-Louise Masson] & Barbe-Michelle [4/19/1712-1/10/1787][m. 10/30/1730 Adrian Perrault].3 Francois's wife, Marie-Madeleine, died on 8 April 1713 in Batiscan leaving him a widower. Francois married 2nd Genevieve Chesne dit Lagrave on 1 April 1717 in Batiscan at St-Francois-Xavier Church.4 Francoise & Madeleine had children: Joseph [12/11/1697-6/30/1699], Jean-Francois [2/08/1700], Joseh [8/11/1702-9/04/1754][m.. 11/10/1726 Josephte Desranleau], Marie-Madeleine [9/09/1704-11/03/1789][m. 9/10/1727 Jran-Ba[tiste Desranleau], Robert [5/03/1707-1/03/1713], Pierre [11/13/1709-4/09/1749][m. 1/09/1730 Marie-Louise Masson] & Barbe-Michelle [4/19/1712-1/10/1787][m. 10/30/1730 Adrian Perrault].5 Francois departed this life in Batiscan. He was buried there in the churchyard of St-Francois Xavier on Saturday, 14 September 1726.6
