Edward Preston

Edward was born in Chesham, Buckinghamshire, England. He was christened there on 14 November 1619 in St. Mary's Church.1 He was the son of William Preston and Elizabeth Sales. In April 1635, Edward left from London, aboard the ship, "Christian", mastered by John White, bound for New England. Listed among the passengers was Thomas Foulfoot 22 years, John Busket 28 years, Thomas Coop[?] 18 years, Edward Preston 13 years & John Cribb 30 years . . . Robert Robinson 41 years [oldest on the list]. The ship landed at Boston. It is not sure who Edward was accompanied by or who he lived with until his parents arrived one year later..1
