Elizabeth Ring

On 23 February 1602/3, she was christened in Ufford, County Suffolk, England. Elizabeth was born in Ufford, County Suffolk, England. She was the daughter of William Ring and Mary Durrante. Elizabeth married Stephen Deane circa 1629 in Massachusetts. Elizabeth's husband, Stephen, died in September 1634 in Plymouth leaving her a widow. Elizabeth married Josias Cooke on 16 September 1635 in Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. Elizabeth departed this life in Eastham. The inventory of Elizabeth's estate was taken on Saturday, 3 May 1687. Her inventory was valued at 15.7.7 pounds with no real estate included. According to Josias' will, his wife, Elizabeth received the bulk of the estate which after her death, went to their children, Josias and Bethia, to be equally divided. After Elizabeth's death, there was a disagreement between the siblings Josias and Bethia and thier half-sister, Meriam Dean. This dispute was settled in a perogative court hearing held at Barnstable on 31 May 1687.
