John Ridgely

     John was born circa 1709 in South River, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, at the family home "Abbington". He was the son of William Ridgely II and Jane Westall. He was christened there on 20 April 1711 in South River at All Hallow's Parish. John married Elizabeth Mayo on 1 November 1736 in Westminster Parish. John and Elizabeth had children: John Ridgely [9/13/1739-died young], Joshua Ridgely [3/ 23/1741], Elizabeth [m. Gilbert Yieldall], Hannah [m. John Wilmot], William & Francis. John departed this life in 1767 in South River.
