Jemima Ridgely

     Jemima was born on Saturday, 28 June 1755 in Frederick County, Maryland, at the family home "Ridgely's Chance". She was the daughter of Westall Ridgely and Sarah Isaac. Jemima married Joshua Pigman on 6 July 1777 in Frederick County. Joshua and Jemima had children: , Levi [5/25/1778-7/08/1822][m. 8/01/1801 Jane Taylor], Joshua [12/10/1779-8/21/1828][m. 4/23/1806 Nacky Penn], & Sarah [8/19/1783-10/24/1845][m. 4/12/1803 Rev. Walter Griffith]. By 1808, the family had moved to Ohio settling in the village of Neville, Washington Township, Clermont County. Jemima's husband, Joshua, died on 23 April 1812 in the Village of Neville, Washington Township leaving her a widow. Jemima departed this life on Wednesday, 20 March 1839 in the Village of Neville, Washington Township at age 83 years, 8 months and 20 days.
