Eli Ridgely1

Eli was born on Monday, 31 January 1791 in Traptown, Frederick County, Maryland. He was the son of Jacob Ridgely and Ruth Thrasher. Eli married Eleanor Harding on 3 July 1815 in Frederick County. Eli & Eleanor had children: William [1/08/1817-12/07/1848][m. 1846 Catherine Hoye] Maryanne [8/31/1818-2/01/1885 m. 9/22/1837 William Stanton], Ann Isabella [11/23/1819-2/05/1899], Rebecca M [3/17/1826-9/05/1908], Jacob [1828] & several others. Eli departed this life on Tuesday, 10 January 1843 in Frederick County at age 51 years, 11 months and 10 days. He was buried in Garrett County, Maryland, in Eli Ridgeley Amish Cemetery.2
