An unknown person was born circa 1450 at Rheinhessen, Germany. He was of Eckelsheim, but either moved to or had business in Stein-Bockenheim as he is of record there in 1492 holding property. This village neighbored Wonsheim and was a mile north of Stein-Bochenheim where the family was soon to settle.
