William de Peshale1,2

M, b. circa 1103
     William de was born circa 1103 in Staffordshire, England, at the Manor of Peshale in the parish of Eccleshall. He was the son of William de Peshale. William's father gave him half of the Manor of Peshale, held of Robert de Toesni de Stafford. The manor was still being held by the Pantulf family, at this time the overlord was Ivo de Pantulf, a cousin of the Peshales. In 1176 Williiam was fined a large fee for tresspassing on the King's forest, a fine which was never paid and apparently pardoned.





William married Ellen Broughton in England. William married 2nd Miss (?) Pantolf, daughter of William de Pantulf.
