Captain James Olmsted1

     James was born circa 1645 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut. He was the son of Richard Olmsted II and Elizabeth Hawes. James married Phebe Barlow on 1 May 1673 in Connecticut. James made his will on 28 April 1731 at Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut. She mentions Joseph, John & third son, Nathan, deceased. Nathan had had his portion.2 James departed this life after 28 April 1731 in Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut. His will was probated on 12 June 1731.
