John Morehouse

     John was born in 1673 in Fairfield, Fairfield County, Connecticut. He was the son of Samuel Morehouse and Rebeccaa Odell. John married Ruth Barlow, daughter of John Barlow II and Abigail Lockwood, on 2 November 1698 in Fairfield, Fairfield County, Connecticut.¹ John and Ruth had children: Ruth [4/21/1699-] [m. 8/__/1717 Thomas Marwin] Stephen [7/12/1701-5/22/1768] [m. 3/01/1722 Abigail Treadwell], Gershom [11/18/1703-] [m. 4/22/1725 Sarah Hill], Elizabeth [3/24/1705/06-3/24/1705/06], Elizabeth [1706], John [1708-d.y.], James Barlow [3/21/1710-], Abijah [4/27/1712-10/14/1751] [m. Mary Middlebrook], John [9/19/1714-1785] [m. Mary Stewart], Ephraim [8/28/1716-1760] [m. 1733 Eunice Wheeler], Ann [9/14/1718] [m. 4/07/1736 James Morgan] & James [11/11/1722] [m. 1743 Hannah Buckley]. John departed this life on Saturday, 31 May 1727 in Fairfield at age 54 years.
