Caleb Nickerson1

Caleb was born in 1713 in Chatham, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. He was the son of Ensign William Nickerson IV and Deliverance Lombard. Caleb married Mary Godfrey circa 1732 in Chatham. Caleb and Mary had children: Joshua [5/27/1733-4/16/1821] [m. 12/15/1754 Esther Rider], Deborah [10/27/1734-1/18/1735], Caleb [4/02/1736-12/31/1804] [m. 5/04/1758 Elizaberth Mayo], Moses [2/25/1739] [m. 7/19/1764 Rebecca Atkins], Richard [2/03/1741-11/15/1774] [m. Sarah Nickerson], Mary [6/29/1744] [m. 8/18/1764 Jonathan Buck], Elizabeth 3/10/1745] [m. 8/17/1767 Jeremiah Eldreidge] & Deborah [3/24/1747- 3/15/1839] [m. 2/04/1768 John Harding]. The children were all born at Chatham. Caleb departed this life on Thursday, 18 December 1749 in Chatham at age 36 years. He was buried there in Queen Ann Cemetery.2
