Phebe Meeker

     Phebe was born in 1740 in Elizabeth Town, Essex County, New Jersey. She was the daughter of Benjamin Meeker. Phebe married James Dolson circa 1759 in Orange County, New York. James and Phebe had children: James [1760] [m. Eleanor Carpenter], Asa [1/03/1761], Mary [1734], Abigail [1765] & Samuel [2/14/1766] [m. FAnny Vail]. Phebe's husband, James, died on 23 February 1778 in Goshen leaving her a widow. Phebe departed this life on Saturday, 5 March 1808 in Goshen at age 68 years. She was buried at Middletown in Pine Hill Cemetery.¹
